I really like Mr. Hamza’s ICT Lesson. It is very interesting, and we get to play with electric circuits and we also get to play with coding blocks in Mixly. My favorite part of the lesson is making the remote-control car. We applied our knowledge of electrical circuits and coding to make this car. It was an unforgettable experience making the car with my teammates. Now, we are still making our cars. We are starting to code it now as well. I really like ICT lessons!

On 5/22, we had an I.T. lesson, Mr. Hamza showed us about coding and how it worked, there were 4 programs (Front, Back, Left, Right) with numbers of the jumper wires on the blue Arduino to make sure what jumper wire can connect and a long green program of the order of direction. “Now, you guys can start working!”, as soon as Mr. Hamza finished, we all went back to our positions and started working on the car model.

We were in a group of three, Angela and Erika. In order not to delay, Erika decided to do the program coding on her own, while Angela and I worked on the jumper wires. First, I put the jumper wire in the slot of the Arduino, second, Angela tightened it with the screwdriver over and over again speedily, and Erika was almost done with the program. I quickly finished the program and followed the program Mr. Hamza told us to.

Finally, we were finished, so we asked Mr. Hamza what’s the next step? ”Ok, so now, you guys need to transfer the data in the car model with the transfer wire and come back to me for the battery.” According to what Mr. Hamza said, Erika and I connected the data to the car model confirming the successful connection. Mr. Hamza gave us the battery. At the moment when the battery was connected, the car model droved forward quickly and turned back, left, right… “Now, you guys are going to change the program in each of the directions once.” When we were going to change, the class was over!

I’m really looking forward to the next class next time, what will we learn?!!

During a typical lesson in I.T., we are always doing work. Normally, we are coding or building technology. We find doing this very fun and exciting. Mr. Hamza, our IT teacher, gives us a sheet of paper that shows us the finished code. To make it easy for us, Mr. Hamza tells us to copy it. We actually were never taught how to do coding. We learned by ourselves! The reason why he doesn’t teach is that coding is very easy as we just put different words and numbers together and then, our machine is done and works well! Our teacher, Mr. Hamza is very experienced in coding and technology and can fix everything that we do wrong. Normally, when we enter The IT lab, Mr. Hamza is building bigger cars and doing 3D printing as it seems it is his hobby to build different things. Mr. Hamza has been teaching us from 2022 to 2023. He is a very good and friendly teacher. Recently, we finished building a robotic car that somewhat took us more than 2 months to build! It was from March to May. Yes. I’m not kidding. It took us so long just to build a small car that only goes a few directions, but at least the hard work paid off! When we were testing our cars, we were very nervous as we thought the car would malfunction and drive off the table! Thankfully, it did not fall off and remained on the table. Mr. Hamza said, “Soon our car will be able to go in a square around the classroom. We are looking forward to doing it as we hope our cars work and do not crash into multiple chairs and break into pieces! Our cars are very important to us as we worked for a very long time on building them and making their codes. When we do our experiment of driving it around the classroom, I’m pretty sure a lot of us would want to drive it around the WHOLE entire school!

The most memorable class of my I.C.T. lessons is the making the car project. It turns out to be the most complicated circuit I’ve ever done before. Complex and advanced tools are what we use. It’s a fun time throughout this project. The car we made was creating by several circuits into one. Furthermore, this project is kind of a review for previous circuits we worked on before.

Future cars may be inspired by this model as AI cars. Using this lesson, we learnt, putting these circuits together to make another more complex project might even inspire future technology!

A car building project is the most memorable in I.C.T. class and will be classified as an important-lesson div. I like this I.C.T class a lot and it is fun as well.

I love IT, it is very good and fun. But, the most fun thing is coding. Every time we do it in our group, Mr. Hamza will give us a paper of what are we going to do. The most fun thing about coding is finding and typing the code. After we finish typing we will feel very happy and proud. Because I just learned to code so it is not too hard for me. But I think building is more fun than coding. Building things is really fun, you can build very cool things and test them. But I think a good teacher is important too. Happily, we have a good teacher! Mr. Hamza, is nice, our classmates and I all like him very much he really is a good teacher. I hope we have I.T. in MYP too!

Our ICT lesson usually starts when Mr. Hamza calls us to sit around the table as he explains what are the tasks for the day.

We are working on a project where we construct a car that can run by itself. We already finished the part that we make the body and connect the wires and circuits. So now we only have to complete the coding part.

The instructions tell us what to code, and we have to copy the codes from the sheet. When we are finished working, Mr. Hamza will come tocheck. if there are no problems, we can upload the code into the car.

After it all works and the inspections are done, we are finally finished. Making the car is a very hard process, but I also enjoy it. I think the I.C.T. class teaches us a lot.
